Do I win a prize or get to join some elitous group with the likes of Bob Young, Graham and others? Is there some magic key that I get to let me know the real inside secrets of how to write a hit song?
Just joking..
It's been a real learning experience and this place is full of alot of interesting characters that know a heck of lot more than I...

Congrats and/or condolences to you David.  Earlier in the year I think Brian posted that there were around 50 folks with 1000 posts and the top ten all have about four times that many. ------------------ Marty listen here Is there a setting on the digital delay that will allow me to think before I speak?

Being a GOF, and beyond does have its advantages Dave. I remember (only because I wrote it down) when I first came to JPF and saw all those Serious Contributor sigtns and wondered if I would ever make that status. Wouldn't have been surprised if I hadn't as nobody has ever taken me seriously. Well the missus chose to just the once. And that time I was realy joking. But she had witnesses, and them days I really though breech of promise was a jailable offence. These days I figure jail may have been the soft option. Anyway. Next time I looked I found I was in fact a serious contributor with some 3,000 post racked up. Was sure somebody had been ringing some in until I got the ISP bill. Was then I swore to slow down. I swore to give up smoking with the same result once or ten times too mind you. These days. I have slowed down some. Which is a pity as, I have heard when you hit the 10,000 posts the serious contributor sign is replaced with one thst says "Don't let this happen to you. Get a life before it's too late. Posting on JPF is habit forming, and can contribute to behavioual disorders such as, only being able to sleep in front of a computer. Losing the power of speech. Forgetting which way town is. Forgetting how to drive. Regretting ever buying a computer. losing the ability to click a log off switch. writing the dumbest things just to get one more post up. You have been warned." David, When I hit the big 1,000 a while back, I thought I'd polish my "brass" a bit, but when I recently hit 2,000 I was starting to feel more like, gee I'm still here??... I must really LIKE this or am I getting desperate?! Natch, over the hill more likely! Share what little (or much) you know to help others, and don't be surprised when others help you. To a large extent, that's why I'm still here, because this is such a healthy place for learning & growth through the free-will exchange of so many volunteers. Hey David. Thanks. Gee that would be nice. I just got rid of all the plaque I had by soaking my dentures in battery acid actually. It also got rid of the roof of my mouth before I figured I wasn't rinsing them off wel enough before puting them back in. The good side of that is I can now sing through my nose without even trying now, so now I have been offered a free trip to the States, I reckon (I got a chance at making it in Nashville. Lady I know has offered me an all expences paid trip up there. She claims when she was young she fell in love with Les Paul and snt him a letter proposing marraige to him and he never answered. Now she wants a toy boy to trot over ther to turn up to one of his gigs, and maybe even front up when he is doing the New Years Eve gig on the Steve And Johnny show with Bopb Young, just to show Les what he missed out on, and that she sure wasn't still pining for him. She even got a bit of body work done in preperation for it. When she came out, I didn't recognise her as she used to have a mole on her nose and now it is behind her left ear. And every time she sits down her mouth flies open. Says the only thing not tight about her is her purse strings. My kinda lady. Hey All,
I suggested we have a little Posting Hall of Fame type page with pics of the top 10 (or 20 or 100.. whatever) posters, but most of the folks back then said they didn't want their ugly mugs on the site???
If someone wants to usable photos from the top posters (and even little bios as well would be fine with me) we'll build a page to post them. Any volunteers?

Get a email list from the 52 and request a gif or jpg and bio, possible web link?
I could build the page and then send it to you for modification.
or just post a seperate thread asking those who want to particiapate to post a bio and or picture link and you or I could build it from there.

Ya got a choise of two pics of me Brian. One playing harp, and one playing guitar. Both taken down the beach, and both have a Humpback Whale frolicking just beyond the reef. Is okay though. Ya can pick the differance. The whale is the one with only its tail outa the water. And that is a real kind offer David. Thanks from me for starters.
