Hi everyone,
Please read this entire message. A little cooperation from everyone will make for an excellent show. Below is a schedule and order of performances for the Showcase at UB this Friday. The show is scheduled to start at 7:00pm. I've included a 15 minute head start at the begining of the schedule so we can hopefully stay ahead. If all goes smooth plan on playing 15 minutes sooner than the time listed below. We want all performers to arrive at 6:00pm and plan on staying at least through the last performance ending at 11:05 to support those who are playing later. If you are planning on using your own equipment (amp keyboard etc) you must have it there at 6:00pm. It will remain on stage for the entire show and be available to share with all other performers until midnight.
Bands are allotted 15 minutes which includes set up time. Solo performers are allotted 10 minutes including set up time. It is very important that you are ready to play at your scheduled time. Make sure all instruments are tuned and any pedal boards or other equipment has working patch cords and or power supply and is ready to plug in and go. NO ON STAGE TUNING! Usually its best to keep things as simple as possible. Prolonged set up time will decrease your performance time. Each act should have two songs ready for the first round(standard song length is 3 to 4 minutes - if you wish to do an extended 10 minute song plan on only one). If we stay on time we will allow those who wish to play one additional song in a second round starting at 11:05pm. In the first round play the longest song first and we will give you the go to play the second song. Choose your best material to make the greatest impression.
The Atrium is in the Ellicott complex at the north end of the north campus. It is a little difficult to find if your not familiar with the campus. Allow some extra time to find it if you've never been there before. Dave is going to send me explicit directions which I will forward soon. Plan on parking in the Fargo lot.
Please reply asap with any questions, problems, or conflicts. We're looking forward to a great show with a receptive audience. Please do what you can to help each other and foster a supportive atmosphere especially for those of us who haven't had a lot of experience playing live. Remember the JPF motto "We're all in this together"

Hi Mike, I'm sorry for the short notice but I will not be able to play tonight at UB. I have Bronchitis and I haven't been able to sleep well. Hope everything goes well.
Thanks, Susan
