Tricia Baker © words and music by C. Stewart ( May 14, 2005 )
Tricia Baker, she's a card The queen of JPF Has cajun creativity Her husbands favorite chef
CHORUS... Cake bakin' Home makin' Hard workin' Trich
Tricia Baker, green thumb girl Makes little flowers grow She's so good at what she does They'd even grow in snow
CHORUS... Plant stakin' Leaf rakin' Hard workin' Trich
Tricia Baker, foxy nurse Makes all her patients smile Works the big twelve hour shift Then jogs a country mile
CHORUS... Back breakin' Feet achin' Hard workin' Trich
Tricia Baker, writes for kids Has a magic way with words Likes to watch the baby squirrels And feed the back yard birds
BRIDGE.... She's a big kid too, just like me and you She's everybodys friend, right up to the end I wonder what we'd do if she left I wonder what we'd do if she left
Tricia Baker, she's a card The queen of JPF I wonder what we'd do if she left I wonder what we'd do if she left

Hi ya Scotty,
Thanks for giving this a minute of your time, it was just a fun thing to do. Only 20 miles, you should introduce yourself. I don't think she's quite as mean a woman as she appears to be.

Hello Neighbor Stan,
Thanks for having a peek at this one. A few of us got a smile out of it, so I figure it was time well spent. Never had the chance to meet her yet, but I kinda know she's cool.

Calvin,
Great lyric! I like tribute lyrics, but this one particularly because the one it is written about isn't already pushing up daisies, and can appreciate it personally.
Would this be an example of a proper "evolving chorus" according to Bobbie's recent post?
Keep writing.

Calvin, Nice goin'! She deserves it. She's quite a writer. I'm workin on getting an MP3 done for her on one of her lyrics at the moment. have a bit of trouble with my MP3 recorder. Will get it smoothed out soon. She's one of the class acts of this board. You're not too shabby, yourself! You did a fine job! Hello Skip,
Hey man, glad ya liked what ya read. Yeh maybe she'll get a kick out of it. I really didn't want to write it but she offered me $ 5.00 & big money talks !
I hardly EVER change my chorus, but this one seemed to be begging to be changed, so I did. SO I guess it would be considered an evolving chorus. Not sure how proper it is, I'm just a beginner. See ya,
Calvin

Howdy Calvin, Glad I got here before Trisha saw this. This is really fun. Was a time several years back when folks were writing a lotta these types of songs which are always great for boosting morale and friendships around here. It's been too long...so am glad to see you bringing back the practice. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/biggrin.gif) Hugs, Bobbie

Oh, Calvin!!!! You made my day. I've worked 5 12's and 1 8 hour shift this week. My only day off was Thursday because I'm paying for my last two songs for the cd Friday. My whole body is numb but I giggled at this. You have NO idea. Thanks!!!!!!!!! Oh, it's so nice to have my wonderful JP family keeping me afloat and smiling about it!!! Thanks to everyone who commented, too. I mean it. It means the world to me. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/biggrin.gif) See? Calvin, Way to go!It's true , you know , I think Trish may be working too hard. At least hard enough to make me feel guilty LOL. Pete
Here we are wracking our brains today to write lyrics that rhyme and if we succeed, they'll end up in time as tommorrow's cliche's... Pete

She is something isn't she? I'm not sure how she has time to post and critique as much as she does. Great tribute to a southern sweetie. Pardon, me... but being Trish's next door neighbor practically, I have to ask (and excuse me if she already asked) - what is snow? ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/wink.gif) CP

Calvin was kind enough to count those 4 flakes we had sometime awhile back. That was thoughtful, wasn't it? ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/biggrin.gif) I had pansies out at the time. So, technically, he gets points for that, CP. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/wink.gif) ------------------ "Shoot for the moon, and even if you miss, you will land among the stars." -- Les Brown http://www.soundclick.com/bands/8/triciabakermusic.htm

Great job on the song.
