{Waal, I ALMOST made it to sleep this AM, but had an "Assignment Song" I was gettin' behind on..."A Christmas Love Song for 18-25 yr old market." I've had the Hook in my head all week; naturally the Melody & Words began gushin' in at 3AM, just after takin' My Happy Pill--- It's almost TOO Simple, BUT I can remember How I Felt when Me & The Now-Mrs felt back MANY A Year Ago..that first Great Christmas Together..visitin' her Family in France & Switzerland.} A bit of a Reggae, in-mind.
Someone Special At a Special Time My Hand in Yours Your Hand in Mine Our Hands Stay Warm (But it's Not the Gloves) I'm in Love With a Christmas Love! I'm in Love With a Christmas Love! I'm in Love With a Christmas Love!
We walk Together In The Snow See The Christmas Trees Aglow! Who Need Presents? (You're Enough!) I'm In Love With a Christmas Love! I'm In Love With a Christmas Love! I'm In Love With a Christmas Love!
(BRIDGE) The Christmas Music Makes Our Hearts Rise I See The Spirit..In Your Eyes You Make This Winter..Paradise! I'm in Love With a Christmas Love! I'm in Love With a Christmas Love!
A Quiet Moment? Steal A Kiss! Our Happy Season Needs More of This! So We'll Look Back On "Mem'ries Of" All That Love in This Christmas Love!
I'm in Love With a Christmas Love I'm in Love With a Christmas Love I'm in Love With a Christmas Love...

Hi Stan Well there's nothing wrong with simple sometimes it's good!...I think I would chenge these line to something else and leave the 'Christmas' to the refrain part alone... We walk Together In The Snow See COLORED LIGHTS ON Trees Aglow! The FESTIVE Music Makes Our Hearts Rise I See The Spirit..In Your Eyes You Make This Winter..Paradise! Frankly, I'm not sure the 18-25 yr old market Will like this type of song, but I think it is a nice one for the season. Good luck with it jm

Looks good Stan, Simple is fine for a Christmas song. It works. J M may have a couple points. I'm generally in favor of saving the hook for the C unless it's right before the C. Though it seems to be pretty much taking place in the present, it might appeal more to a little older crowd reminiscing. That'd reguire a few small changes though. Well written regardless Wy

G'Mornin' Mz Gem!
Hey, All were Very Good Suggestions! I'm waiting for my Co-Writer to take a Peek at this Today..or Real Soon..& I'll let him make the Decision to change it...(Which I'm in favor of..I think!)
Ya can never Over-Detail a scene when it comes to Color or Flavor, IMO. The MORE you can Involve the Eyes & Ears, the Better! (Nose, too...I shoulda snuck in "Scent of Pine" somewhere..heh!
Might Still!
Thanks for your Kind Visit & Great Suggestions! All are Appreciated!
Big Thankful Hugs, Stan

HiDee Brother Wy!
I'll admit the Younger Crowd Ain't ALL-that-interested in "Creating Memories"...yet from that Senior Prom onwards they Are in The Process-Of. (I think Gals are more-aware of that fact..could be wrong...)
Part of My Process was finding "Love" Rhymes...& hadda chose between "Heaven Above" and "Memories Of"...thus the "Memories Of" ended up there.
I aimed this'n at The Kids...yet..with a bitta luck, & yeah, maybe a few small changes, us Older Folks could live with it, too.
The Music in-Mind is a Lot "Perkier" tha the Usual Christmassy Stuff..but not outrageously-so.
Gotta Scoot..Day Job Beckons!
Many Thanks for Your Kind Visit & Words, Amigo! Big Happy Weekend Guy-Hugs, Stan

Nice specimen there! And you printed this all in normal print, thank you Stan, as I could take it in so much better. Tell LaFemme extra desert tonite (and I'm talking about the cake LOL). Maybe in your Bridge instead of "Christmas music" it could be "Christmas carols". Hope you co-write is happy w/this one, if he isn't tell him to see me!!!LOL
Best, Lynn

Stan, Songdog here.
I really liked this song without any changes! I think you got exactly what you said you set out to write. I thing this would work for young people and ALL ages even. ...this winter... and, I'm in love with a Christmas Love.

Very nice...
Even you dont say it is a reggae I will make it a reggae. Because the lines really looks a reggae no contest my dear friend.
I will work this thing in the next 2-3 days.
I have an artist for this one. He is a Filipino but looks like a Jamaican. The style is everything Jamaican just like Uncle Bob Marley. He also have a dreadlocks..
Email it to you once i finish this ASAP.

HiDee & Thankee Mz Lynn!
I AM Trying to Take Some Advise as I write...tho it takes me awhile..heh..I'm pretty used to My Ways..after 25 + Years at it.
(Apologies to the 17 Folks I've SOMEHOW Still Gotta Reply to at the Mentor's Critique Board for "Primitive"...the Thread's been Closed/Reopened/Closed Again..& I've been real Short of Time here to DO much responding.)
But...it's always Great Fun to come up with The Next Lyric & see what happens...
Doc Lynman suggested the Song & Parameters...& it was fun & a Good Challenge to crank this one out! I avoided all but Secular References to The Season on-purpose..shootin' for as Wide an Audience as-Possible.
La Femme whipped up some Delicious "Leftovers" after a Pretty Slow Week, last night...then we headed to the Flicks & saw Bruce Willis in "Live Free/Die Hard"...(Got a Free Popcorn thanks to the Moviewatcher's thingy)...Quite Entertaining Action Flick, fulla Computer Blah & LOTSA Violence..but Bruce Saves The World, yet-again..Enjoyably. AND ya get to hear CCR durin' the flick AND at the Credit Roll...so it's a Very Boomer-Friendly Flick! (One & 7/8 Laptops UP!) ;-)>
Thanks for Your Kind Visit & Sug, Kind Lady..& yep, I hope This Baby crawls to the Bigtime!
Best Weekend Wishes, Big Hugs, too! Stan

Thankee Muchly, Mr Dog!
Very Kind Review there, hopefully The Finished Result'll live up to Expectations~!
I tend to feel that Songs Penned By Us Older Folks..IF We're Careful How We Write 'Em..CAN cover Multiple Generations pretty well.
I think Younger Folks tend to be More Optimistic than we Older Folks give 'em Credit For. I was Heartened by watchin' Excerpts of the Live Earth Concert over the Weekend. Say What Ya Will, it WAS the Largest Global Concert EVER, Viewing Audience-Wise. &..I hope the Objectives of the Organizers WILL get met as the Years Unfold. Time will Tell. BUT ya gotta credit All-Concerned with at least TRYING to Make A Difference..for the Better.
Thanks for Alla Your Kind Words, Amigo! Hey, is that a VW Mini-Bus or onea those MINI-Minibusses I've heard about? I ALMOST had a Mini-Bus back in 1969 when I first got to Germany, but my Credit was so UN-established back then that I couldn't even get a $650 Loan to snag the thing! (Finally scraped up $200 & got a '60 VW Bug..for my First-Ever Car..& it survived a Honeymoon to Spain, with CAMPSA Gas Coupons, & back..then multiple trips to Belgium to move us up for the Civilian Job in '70. Left it with a Friend soon after gettin' a yr-old Opel GT..& never did hear what happened to the ol' Bug after that.) WISH we'd GOT that Van..it was HARD Haulin' Antiques around in the GT!
Thank for Your Very Kind Words & Visit, Amigo!
Big Weekend Guy-Hugs Backatcha, Stan

HIdee Doc L & Yep, It's a Reggae..AND ya Read Minds really-well, Amigo!
AND it sounds like ya got JUST the Right Artist for it, TOO!
I kept it as Simple and Honest as I could come up with...remember Well How I Felt when La Femme & I were a-courtin' Way Back When (& there WAS some Snow to be Seen..heh-heh!)
Feel Free to Prune or Add Lyrics as ya see fit. (IdaMarie added a Whole VERSE to one of our Co-writes..& it was Brilliant!)
I'm eager to Visit Jamaica someday & see de Island for Inspiration... But..so far..it's a Pair of $800 Plane Tickets away, so dis mon not soon come..heh-heh!
Many Thanks for This Assignment..& Definitely Looking Forwards to More, Amigo! Good Luck to Your Artist, too!
Big Thankful Guy-Hugs, Stan

I got already a melody but I have a little bit of a problem with the lyric.
I want this song to be universal in a sense that every corner of the globe can sing this.
Here's my suggestions.
Someone Special At a Special Time My Hand in Yours Your Hand in Mine Our Hands Stay Warm (But it's Not the Gloves) (need some other idea for this one because some country dont wear gloves like in Jamaica or in my country) (What make your hands stay warm that you like it? How about this? "We've got this passion that keep us warm")
I'm in Love With a Christmas Love! I'm in Love With a Christmas Love! I'm in Love With a Christmas Love!
We walk Together In The Snow (joice marie Gave us a suggestions but I suggest this " Lets take it slow" . Some area dont have snow.)See The Christmas (i loved the "see the colored lights" by Joice) Trees Aglow! Who Need Presents? (You're Enough!) I'm In Love With a Christmas Love! I'm In Love With a Christmas Love! I'm In Love With a Christmas Love!
(BRIDGE) The Christmas Music (The festive music looks also good) Makes Our Hearts Rise I See The Spirit..In Your Eyes You Make This Winter..Paradise! (Can we change the word winter?) I'm in Love With a Christmas Love!
(REPEAT & FADED OUT)
WE can ask Joice about suggetions.
Joice? Any sugestions?

Hi Amigo-Doc!
Sure Can Fix This Very Quickly...
1) "And we don't need gloves" OR, If your artist wants more of a "Street Sound" Lyrically: "We don't need NO gloves"
2) "We walk together/ Past festive lights/ So much celebration/ Our love feels so right/"
3) Bridge: I'd keep "Christmas" Music..to maintain The Mood. "You make this Season" in place of "Winter"
Hope that solves most of the Problemos, Doc... Say the Word and this'll all get typed in, Above.
I'm happy to alter it further..just let me know what's Workin' & What's Not!
Many Thanks! Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Okey got to work this. I already inserted your suggestion in my working lyric sheet. LEt hear other people suggestions.
Anyway I learn it from here (our country) that this is the best time to write Christmas songs because here in our country we celebrated this season as early as September. Counting the days of production of new album for christmas release you have to work this thing and expect to hit the record bar by late October.
Since our compilation will release on october we decide to include 5 bonus xmas song. I am positive they will going to love this xmas song.
I will post this collaboration tommorow and expect to hear it my soundclick.
