Hi..this is a demo I had done by Denny Martin. Demo Vocals, Paul Scott. I Hope you like but IF you don't...I really hope you tell me that too. Thanks Mike Dunbar for the ING nudge on overshadow...and ..and those who reviewed this for me..... Oh my Kaley,
This is stunning!!! I love it. Outstanding blend of music and lyric. Denny and Paul did a beautiful job on the demo. I especially love the chorus. The flow there is lovely!!

Thank you so much for sharing this. The lyrics, melody, vocals, and production are perfect! The message is beautifully written and Paul's delivery is more than commendable. Denny did an outstanding job as he so often does. How nice to present this with Good Friday right around the corner. Kaley it is wonderful!!!!! Best, Lynn

Kaley,
Very, VERY nice! I would make two suggestions (without listening)
1: "Overshadowing (HIS or our) sorrow"
2: "He looked beyond agony Beyond our sinful history" (since "eternity" is unending this will cause a mental conflict for some of the more carnal listeners) This line gives detractors an oxymoron to point out in our "foolish, superstitious" beliefs if you get my drift.
This is a beautifully written lyric.
Wayne

Hi Kaley, Very beautifully done. On all accounts..... Thanks for sharing this with us. Kristi

Kaley,
This is quite beautiful. Wonderful job by everyone! My only thought is that you could have used Christ to rhyme with sacrifice in 2nd part of the 2nd verse.
And though He was innocent The crowd cried....Cru..ci..fy He gave His perfect life As sacrifice Al...le..leu...iah.. For he is the Christ!
Just a thought. It's quite lovely as is.

Thank you Wayne....I'm really glad you liked this...and thanks for reviewing the lyric.!!....and giving me your thoughts... THANKs!!! When the demo was done..., this line..was changed a bit.... Overshadowing sorrow ....to smooth the line..as it was sung by the vocalist. But I don't think leaving it open to interpretation...hurts there..(jmo....) .... Ok..following you on your thought process ....on sinful history, Wayne and understand your reasoning....... Thanks for your suggestions!!!..and for thinking it through.... very best to you this afternoon Kaley He Saw Past Calvary http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=8404&content=musicChildren's Songs http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=6469&content=musicWyman and Kaley's Andy & Friends CD http://cdbaby.com/cd/kwwg

Goodness, Kaley, this is magnificent. Kudos girl. This is truly something special.
"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek

Kristi!!...Thank you... I'm really glad you thought so.... I don't say this phrase lightly or often...but ...I just "held" the pen and sat at the piano...for this. It was one of my my easiest songs to write. thank you very much....Kristi hugs... Kaley

Ya know what Wendy...Till you mentioned it the other day..., I did not see that I was inconsistent in the rhyme scheme... thank you for pointing that out, gal ...... ... and think your offering there is quite good!!!..... I do have the music track...should I do this over again..... I'd give that some thought...but I'm also wondering...if I'd do that...hmmm...I guess I'd break the rhyme scheme either way? because...I'd have 4 I's in a row?...... Thanks Wendy for thinking! and for catching that.......... I appreciate you pointing it out......... very best to you.... Kaley.. Hi KK and everybody Kaley said she got locked out this afternoon, but should get on Sunday morning. Good job all around. Somebody already mentioned the rhyme scheme. I don't know how big a drawback that is Looks like it should be about good to go. Birthday? Did somebody say birthday? Mine got farther than I could count so I just quit countin'.Pretty sure I was born though. KK should be just nicely dry behind the ears. Anyway, happy birthday Kaley. Wy

Hi Kaley,
In a word, OUTSTANDING!!! It builds where it should, and eases where it should. Everyone did a super job on this. You should be very proud.

Well Happy Belated Birthdays folks!
Kaley, lovely song for a beautiful Easter day here in Tennessee.

P.S. I am still listening to your song and Paul's voice and loving both. I hope you post this over on the MP3 board so those that don't visit here will get the chance to hear it.
