Hi Heidi, thanks so much, I am very excited about my first song, I could imagine this song in a Movie, with Dolly Parton singing it, she rocks. It has a great catch to it, and just recently I have met up with those who I reckon can help me market my song, and also others in which I am currently working on.

I am currently working on an album, in which I would like to call it "YOU TOO CAN MAKE IT". I am hoping my album will detour suicide, to a more positive one, survive, DON'T DO IT, don't allow others to push you around, get out of those situations, and get the help you need, and with time they also will make it.

You are so sweet Derek! Thanks a bunch, I am nearly there hey! Cool.

My interview won't be for a couple of weeks, I spoke to the fellow on the phone, and he is really keen to hear my song, and for me to go to Melbourne, but they won't be back until next Wednesday night, so he said he will contact me then. I will patiently wait, cause I have no doubt once he hears my song, he will be on the phone. I am patiently waiting.

I am off to bed shortly, cause tomorrow, I am starting a new job, part time, a cook at lunch times in a Age care home, I am giving up my bar job, as the nine hour shifts, is too much for me, and my family misses out to much.

I am going for a trial tomorrow, for four and a half hours, then I am doing my last bar shift as well for nine hours, so I am in for a big day.

I will let you all know when I here back about my interview, I will post it so you will see how I go, if I go really well I will be shouting it from the roof tops hey.

here's the deal...I'm new here and just ventured into the Forums looking for a place to ease into. So I happen upon this thread and your song is my official introduction to the talent of the JPFolks. And Michele, because first impressions are everything, all I can say is "Oh my friggin' Lord! I'm in the presence of greatness!" I kept looking for the part where you say..."Just kidding guys, I've written a million songs and this is my latest" cause the DPMB song was simply amazing! You captured some really cool emotions and made it work in a nice hook. I am impressed. Seriously though..this was your first song? Good golly, I'm going to have to get my notebook back out, erase, and rewrite some stuff before I post here just based on the fact that this was great.

No I haven't, how do I enter it on "Ourstage"? I read a little bit about "Ourstage" but I don't understand how to enter it, so maybe I should get some one here, to help me enter it, hah! That would be cool.

Well basically you just register on their site, then if you register as an artist you can upload songs! You can also listen to and judge other people's work, I'll see about uploading one of mine and then I can do a better job of walking you through it... or you could PM Mark Kaufman he has several songs on there right now. It looks like it's pretty easy and the link it right over there ------------>

What a great idea Derek has...definitely enter it on Ourstage and tell us which category you put it in. It's fun to do that voting thing over there and I'd vote for you! But, keep in mind, it's April 13th and for two weeks, other songs have been getting played and voted on, so definitely also enter it the first of the month for more play/vote time. Ya know what I mean?

Thanks for your confidence, I am shattered, I wish I had of new that before I entered it in this months, I didn't know, Grrrrr! I just entered it in April, May, June and I don't understand it all yet, but I will hopefully. I entered it under singer/songwriter, I first entered it under country, maybe I should of left it there, it was at 350 now since I changed it I'm at 1300 oh Golly Gosh, I don't know if I done the right thing, and I am a bit lost with "Ourstage"?

And a big hug, and thanks for your VOTE! I need all the help I can get. I just don't know how to find it now, to see how I go with the votes?

So,you posted it? That's good that it's there, cuz at least it'll start getting heard. There's something about the familiarity that can work in your favor!

Wait...it's under singer/songwriter? I think that's one of the most popular categories...but then again, so is country, I bet.

To see the rankings, when you go to Ourstage, look at the top. There's a button called "Music" on the left. Click it. You'll get the page with a list of all the categories. Click one. Scroll halfway down. In a box you'll see "Standings in Country for 2008"..then in parenthesis there is the number of entries. You'll only see the top ten. Click the white dots in the red bubble and it'll scroll horizontally and show you the next ten and so on.

**To QUICKLY find yours, you can simply type the title in the top search box and hit the blue search button. It'll come up with its ranking...you'll see....try it and see if you can find it!

I don't know how you find out how many times it's been played though....that will make a difference, of course.
