I am a dejected young man of twenty five. I have a decent career and earn a good living. I have a sociable and affable nature. I have tried several times to date and make girlfriends. But have failed in my attempts! I guess I am lacking something somewhere in a big way, which is why girls refuse to be with me.

I understand and sympathize. Back in the '60s, it was axiomatic that playing guitar got you chicks. That's why I learned to play guitar, and (surprisingly) it did get me one. I don't know if that still works, but it might be worth a shot.

Hello. I am wondering why someone who is obviously intelligent and well-spoken even would have any trouble unless he tried to relate to types of women who would rather date a different type of person?
One communication tool I can offer as assistance is to try to find the things you and the female have in common and talk about those things. Finding things in common creates a shared reality and THAT leads to more communication, which can create admiration.
Most of all, don't go into it with a defeated attitude. To think is to create. Visualize yourself with a great girlfriend with all the traits you'd like in an ideal mate. Get clear on what you want in a woman. Then, go and find her.
Best of luck to you.
Heidi

What they said.
But if that all fails, maybe try "Britain's Got Talent". Susan Boyle, never been kissed, is probably tramping about with an insatiable appetite by now, three men at a time.
Sorry...just a little humor. I've been reading that women like guys that make them laugh.

Okay, so I bit until I saw the response from "prior." This is an obvious use of the site to promote their "boot camp."
I wish there were fines established for things like this!

I don't know. Depending on the advice generated, it might belong in "Success Stories" instead. (Oops. I see somebody already put it there.)

LMAO! To the original poster...do what I did. Show up on a Friday night, here at the site, and get in a drinking contest in the shout box. Unbeknownst to me, our Andy already KNEW who I was, I had no idea who he was. He proceeded to get me drunk, and charm the proverbial pants off of me. And continues to do it. Nice guys DO finish first...it just takes a lil' alcohol!

I recently held a candlelight dinner for my blow up doll and she just melted right in my arms......I guess I used too many candles. ..Why is dating so complicated?

I have a new website and I am trolling the forums here to get people to click on this link: www.KevinEdwardRose.com , so they can come to my site and offer comments and suggestions. This seemed like the logical thread to post this, so thanks for reading and wish me luck on my trolling efforts. And yes, I will replace the photo as soon as I come up with something better!)

And y'know, there probably is a song in it. "Melting Matilda," or something.

Does anyone need iso9000 software for helping with corrective action, document control and audit management? Try www.jkt9000.com . If you keep busy enough at work, you won't notice that you are not dating. Kevin

Dear Phony Jhony:
Simply work your butt off making that Million...THEN you'll notice no matter HOW butt-ugly ya are, Babes WILL find you attractive, even at your shyest.
Unfortunately, by then, you won't TRUST anybody but yourself. So you'll prolly end up like Howard Hughes.
There's also Plan B: Go to your local Saloon & Get Plastered. With no inhibitions, you're sure to luck into Someone (Or Some Thing) and your problems are over-with, evening-by-evening.
Glad we've had this Little Chat..& DO report back to us to see how either plan's workin' out.
Best Wishes, Stan

Well, I have to admit that I was annoyed, and even more annoyed when it was clear that the post was a bait for website.
However, now it's becoming rather amusing. The cool thing is that if someone looks up the website on google, they may come across this thread and decide NOT to visit it. Heh, heh.

I agree, Jean. It is fun reading through the responses to something that normally wouldn't get the time of day. (The time of day is 10:55 AM Pacific Iraqi War Time, by the way. There. I took care of that.) Classic instance of that proverb: When somebody hands you spam, make a meal out of it.

Dear Jhonny
you gotta slowly but surely build your confidence.......do what we do here in Tennessee....start by asking sisters/cousins/aunts etc for dates-then after you have had some experience and are ready to try women unrelated to you -then join the Army and get the big enlistment bonus for their Iraq Express program.....then go into town with a shiney new car-$15,000 in the bank and start moaning out loud about how you are going to Iraq and dont have anyone who cares about you....when the cops are called to deal with all the girls fighting over you--take the one with the fewest bruises (the obvious winner) to Vegas and marry her.....she may or may not make a good wife but she can obviously hold her own in a bar fight so thats one thing to reccomend her.......

I am wondering if the person who started this thread could get access to our personal email addresses even if I didn't list mine for public view. I got a spam email today that had the same type of vocabulary, but it was from an "AnnaS." Just wondering if anyone else also got an email from "AnnaS?"

You guys are soooo funny! This reminds me of one of my favorite jokes (if you get offended easily...don't read it...you'll get offended) This one's called, "The Ugly Guy": Okay, so there's this guy, goes to the bar every night, NEVER scores with the chicks, gets drunk, goes home alone. One night, he gets REALLY drunk, and the barmaid takes his car keys and tells him to walk home, a mile away. He does. The next night, he comes in all happy and psyched. He buys all his buddies a round. They're like, "What's up with YOU, dude?" He says, "You know how the barmaid made me walk home last night? Well, I walked across the railroad tracks, when I saw the most BEAUTIFUL GIRL tied to the tracks, and there was a train coming! I hurried up and untied her. I was her knight in shining armor. So, we went back to my place, and had the most awesome sex, all night. She had the most beautiful body I'd ever seen. Guys, I think I'm in love!" His buddies were astounded. Presently, one spoke up and said, "Man, how did such an ugly dude like you get such a hot chick. Wait a minute...you never did tell us what she looks like in the face." To which the ugly guy responded, "Well, I really don't know. I never did find her head."

LMAO (While lookin' La Femme in the face..heh!) She "didn't think it was funny" which means she liked it TOO!
Back when I was in HS I attended a Summer Journalism Clinic at OSU... Visited a Photo Exhibition..chatted awhile with the Curator. A student'd exhibited a Nude Photo & some folks were "Offended" by the work. He took me behind the exhibit, & showed me a Photo that HAD been eliminated, saying "This would've REALLY got them up in arms". Was an ethereal Black & White taken on a Winter's Day, shiny steel RR tracks running through a Snow-Covered Countryside...of a coed who'd committed suicide..lying peaceful-expressioned..with head & legs extended over the track's boundaries..& that bright rail heading smoothly off into Infinity.
&..though I've never forgotten the Awesomeness of this Pic...I STILL got a good Chuckle out of your joke. Life's WAYyy too-short to take it All Too-Seriously. Thanks for a Good Laugh to start the day off with!
Big Hugs, Stan
