Since this version of the game can connect anything to anything, I submit the song
...........Mimi Fig
connected via Juice NEWTON which led me to FIG NEWTON which led me to Mimi Fig.
I also offer up the song
...........Of the sleep of Ishtar
connected through the word OF in Queen OF Hearts
and I offer up the act ...........APPLEBLIM
connected through JUICE NEWTON which reminded me of Sir Isaac Newton who sat under an apple tree and the apple tree led me to APPLEBLIM . .

Or are we playing exponentially now? (You offer three, so I must offer nine, and the next person must offer eighty-one.) What a game-killer that would be.

Take your pick. Back yonder in this thread Linda told me "just play or don't play." So I'm submitting volleys hoping one will accomplish it's mission. I'm a lyricist so words are supposed to follow a certain order with a certain point. I can understand most of the connections in this game but overall it reminds of the Mayberry Marching Band playing jazz. I'm not a musician. I could never understand jazz. I'm just trying to participate in the mad meanderings through a musician's minds. Like I said, I understand a lot of the connections. It's just that they remind me instructions from a broken GPS on how to get through a spaghetti junction. Last page of connections: Kurt Fortmeyer Crimson And Clover - Tommy James And The Shondells "The Court Of The Crimson King" - KING CRIMSON Nigel Quin "The Court Of The Crimson King" - KING CRIMSON Here Comes The Judge – Shorty Long SEHatfield Here Comes The Judge......... All right peeps! Nobody need flip the game board up-side down and walk away pouting!!
- Up there -- we had a couple of simultaneous-posts , but -- I didn't need any explanations, I saw the connections.
[color:#000000]Tell you what. NEW FORMAT RULE: Please use CAPS, BOLD and/or RED letters (or any other form of GOOD HIGHLIGHTING) on the WORD you are associating, to help point it out to those of us just staring blankly at your post. Yep! You can use the word OF or AND if you want. Or JOE in both artists' names. Or associate "Newton" with "Fig."[/color] Sausage, OK, OK, let's not be all party-pooperish here, ANY of those three clever associations will work as you explained them, but, since THE RULE must now be CLEARLY stated, although we've all been playing this way till now:
ONE SONG ENTRY AT A TIME. Pick one!! So if you don't WANT to choose one... we will go back to the last working entry and "reset the board" and let's not get all dramatic about it :-) All righty?
MANY songs can associate and be chosen for ANY ENTRY! that's the fun of it
So... minor pause for Sausage to make up his mind. I'll give you till the end of my hubby's birthday party celebrations tonight to post ONE of your above picks (INCLUDING the artist please!!) which will be around 7:30 PM Pacific.
After that hour if we haven't heard from you to take your turn We will reset to: Queen of Hearts - Juice Newton THANK YOU!

[b]Sausage, OK, OK, let's not be all party-pooperish here, ANY of those three clever associations will work as you explained them,
So... minor pause for Sausage to make up his mind. I am so maligned and misunderstood. I was not trying to be party pooperish, I was trying to pump my party participation. Let's not forget, this is just a game. Besides, if I had three clever associations as you said, don't I get a gold star or something? Whacha got against rednecks succeeding? I didn't mean to upset anyone, I was just trying to get a handle on this hoss. I was learning a lot of new songs like someone else said and a lot of new acts but I was also discombobulated like I said. I was enjoying the associations, especially SEHatfield's because I could understand them after a few seconds pondering. I understand Kurt's too but he has also seemed like much more of an intellectual than I am capable of being. My own thinking tends to be more like Ray Strode's - simple, to the point, and old style like Johnny Horton and Tony Bennett. But it's a game and I didn't mean to upset the apple cart. I just wanted an apple.

OOOOh, that brought back good memories.
MY Cherie Amour - Stevie Wonder
MY Bucket Faces The South - Ava Barber (and others)
I thought of Dean Martin's "That's Amore" thinking "amore" and "amour" were the same thing--just for fun, not 'cause I'm too anal retentive or anything. The only definition I could find for "amore" was an old one meaning a school of fish LOL. For "amour" I found out it means mainly illicit sexual relationship. Songs don't always reflect literal grammatical linguistic correctness but all this was quite entertaining to know. Who knew this game could make you smarter?
