I have to agree with Richard Scott about the lyrics.
Your explanation "He won't get rich selling tractors there" is way more straightforward and understandable than
"You won't find John Deere working there
if it’s money he wants, he should go elsewhere".
The verses do a pretty good job of telling your story, but the chorus is confusing (to me).
Remember...You know what you're thinking. The listener doesn't have that insight.
