I will sometimes miss a reference, might get two things confused. It happens. The larger point of Taylor Swift is watching the moves that she makes and see them as part of a larger picture.

People trying to be in this industry, often see things from too myopic a point of view. Songwriters only look at the technical points of a song, and often don't think about the bigger picture, how would an artist interpret this song, what other similar songs are their out there, how would the video work on this, how would an artist get funding for their career, how would this work in an overall recording or set, who is the target audience for this, and about ten million other questions that if you don't ask, your competition is. And that is what this is if you want to do anything past write songs for your own self, which is fine.

What I am referring to with Taylor are the things she has done since she started, why they have worked, the progressions she has made, and where I think she is going and WHY I believe they have worked.

Many get worked up about something like this video and think she is going down the road of evil like so many others. I don't. I think it is part of a strategic bigger picture that she has done ever since she started. So if I get a date, age, or something wrong, it is more because I am focused on a bigger picture.

I am talking about her age, which was 22 a while ago, her song, her market share, her fans, her management, and her strategic movements. So they ALL tie in.

Marc, it was no dig towards you, but as a big fan of Taylor's , when you said she was 22, I just corrected you. Then you acted like I was wrong in what I read, so I pointed out where you did say it, that I was not mistaken in what I read.

Is it a big deal that you quoted her age wrong? NO! I just wanted to note she is the beautiful age of 25 now..and so accomplished at such a young age.

I was not slighting you at all, but you seem to have taken it that way. Next time maybe I should not let incorrect info cause me to speak up. Not worth getting anyone peeved over it or explaining all the reasons I should not have spoke up because of long hours helping out others in forums, yes you do help with your well thought out posts, I learn from them, enjoy them and I am glad you are speaking up for Taylor on this post.

There was no need to feel aggravated with me for pointing our one small mistake..we all make um..:) a simple yeah, you are right, Kim, my bad, would have been fine wink Kim
