Marty, assembling and reposting abusive content that includes my real name is your responsibility, regardless of who originally wrote the words. This song names me and MAB directly more than once. It does not name you or anybody else with their real names. That distinction matters. Reframing this as an “indictment of Tony” does not change the fact that you chose to repost, spotlight, and artistically repackage material that targets specific individuals who did not consent to being named. I did not ask you to analyze Tony’s behavior. I asked you to remove content that references me by name. That is a reasonable request. Why can't you do that? I have avoided engaging with you and your posts for some time. This post forced engagement by naming me directly. I'm kindly asking you once again to leave me alone. Your assessment does not look realistic to me Rob. European sensibilities regarding what can be said and what the limitations on free speech are, look very different to me over here. I have stated what I think is a more accurate assessment based upon some business experiences and 20 years at a tennis club with an abundance of attorney members. The conversations after play over drinks would go on for a while. As you may have noticed, I have an insatiable curiosity and healthy intelligence. Read it again if you need to. Restating the same things over-and-over in a back-and-forth seems pointless here. Believe what you will. As for leaving you alone... I have almost always made positive comments about your songs. I consider them to be "nice" for the most part. The other day I complimented two, even though I really dont personally care for you. The songs were good. Reason for being here in the first place. Credit where credit is due. My feelings aside...Said so. Going forward, abstaining from commenting on your songs is no problem, no issue and no concern. Regarding political posts... I regard them as toxic and destructive to a songwriting site, or any site where they create decension and distract from the primary goals. The proof is here to see, in abundance, going back years. But they are allowed here. If you are free to post a political comment that I find erronoeous, objectionable, one-sided, propagandistic, I will be free to address your statements in whatever terms I choose in that moment. If you avoid political statements here, I'll have no reason to comment on anything that you do. Regarding the existing post... Last night, I considered your exact address to the post and your threats to be off-putting so I became defensive. When I woke up this morning, I looked at Ben's post, reconsidered mine, and decided that in spite of the fact that I don't like you, it was not reasonable to keep someone's name involved in a wretched collection of diatriabes by a third party...if it is against their wishes. As stated, I'll remove the link to SUNO by this evening.
