The word "eristic" seems to capture the essence of the current threads. Am I using the word correctly. Maybe just debating for the love of debating. I can't remember what TV show I heard this from, but the man said to his girlfriend "does everything have to be a full-scale debate with you". Hmm... EXACTLY. There was no need to critique a song about Stan. But it happened..
