I think this thread has drifted quite a bit from where it started.
John and I were just co-writing, trying to capture a feeling more than make a political statement. I really appreciate the direction the lyric took.
I’m not looking to get into a broader political debate here - there are plenty of other places for that. I’d prefer to keep this thread about the songwriting itself.
