This is the only political thing I'm gonna say. Ever. The founding fathers warned us against a two party system, they were right but I guess we didn't listen.
This is not a political song AT ALL. I agree that a solid argument can be made that this is not a "political song." It seems an appeal to better angels. OTOH, a case can also be made that everything that has gone wrong in this country is rooted in politics. FWIW2U, categorically I don't view this song as "political." regards a 2 party system...IMO, structure would not have mattered.
