Wrong word.

I criticized and critiqued Rob's song, particularly for the fact that it is a clear political message consistent with political messages that he has been putting up here for years.

I was complimentary of another song he put up here in the last few days, which had no political connotations or quotes from the Secretary Of State. I even defended the song against other criticisms.

He should put his "politics" in the "politics" section, but he posts it in MP3 and AI,
insists that they are not "political,"
and therefore exempt from criticism.

which all flies in the face of reality.

Art 1 guarantees me the right to criticize politics and rebut political statements.
Brian Whitney elects to apply "free speech" to his website. He has made that clear.

This website is a free, public and voluntary forum.
Rob chooses to be here and post in in accordance with his personal sensibilities and biases.

I choose to be here and can post in accordance with mine, if and until, I am told that I violate the rules here.

Rob can choose to ignore me, to rebut me, or not to participate.

Calling my criticisms attacks is merely your preference, not mine.
I call them "rebuttals."

If you and Rob feel that these are "attacks," then appeal that to Brian Whitney, if you have not already.

If he says that I am in violation of his rules, I'll stop.
If I don't stop, he can terminate my participation.

Personally, I think that outright political statements or ones that even allude to political biases are toxin to a songwriting website.

But...when in Rome.
