Everett, yes... radio airplay in Germany is awesome for the songwriters, but not for the artists. I've achieved that a couple of times too. Artists get close to nothing.
I thought the only country that did not pay the artist is the USA.

Well im an Artist, and they dont pay me shizee...I never really tried to make money as an artist, however.

I think they think artists make money in live venues, which they do, even today its the main source of income.

I'd say since i turned 20, ive made 100 k as a live performer. I haven't done gigs in over decade however.

Was always able to sneak in an original.

The clubs and bars pay 100 bucks a night, that hasn't changed in 30 years. And that 100k is stretched across multiple decades. But, trying to make a hundred a day with your songwrutung, sings only, is next to impossible.
