I recently found a handful of songs that I wrote in High School. I don't remember them or how they went. Probably for the good. I've almost always been writing my little ditties. When I played in a group, nobody was interested in doing originals. I would still write em for myself though. That lasted for 30 + years. Bailed out of the band and started doing a solo gig with my originals and covers. I've never had a more rewarding experience. At work folks would come up to me and sing a line or two from one of my songs, and once at the supermarket a guy came up behind me singing one of my tunes. I didn't even know him...Thats why I do it...Makes me feel good.
