Great question!
My first song was written at age 11. I loved those slick silly little love songs playing on CKLW. I also intensely loved commercial jingles.
This is why I wanted to do it. Emmulating things I had heard and loved. I had a vision that I could write jingles for stuff on TV,
The first song was titled " I Love My Tootsie Roll"
I can still hum the chorus.
Besides, I had to play the guitar and copy what my Dad was doing!
