Well, this was an interesting read to me. I'm not that well read in this genre' so not much help. But, the narrator reminded me of that kid in "Holes" for some reason---sorry Children's Lit again. But, it is a good book.

This was my favorite line:

Men are like Hershey Bars. Made to snap along certain lines. My lines had yet to be found.

But, there were lot's of other lines that I enjoyed too.

The 2 chicken nuggets short of an 8 piece line one was the weakest imo---didn't really go along with the way the character was developed. Usually I liked his sense of humor better though, dry and sarcastic as it was.

The murder seemed to me like it was being committed by Vern at first. Then right away I learned it was the spouse. But, why? Did HE mistake his wife for the burgler??? Or was he some freak? That's not developed enough for my liking.

Ok, when are you gonna get the flu again so I can read the next one? just kidding. grin
