after four years of going to Nashville and hearing dozens of Nashville insiders talk about this very subject I have come away with one indisputable fact.

If you don't live in Nashville....fergetaboutit.

It ain't gonna happen. No matter how good the song is.
Cowriting with an established Nashville writer will help. It is who you know, or better still who knows you, and your cowriter. And they need to see you time and again in Nashville working it before they will acknowledge you exist.

Then if you write a really good song you have a chance.
