Lotta thought provoking comments in your post, Mike, but this one particularly so to me. There are a lot of changes that the brain and body undergo in the first 20 years of life or so - I wonder if there has been any research into the ability to absorb and remember a melody as a function of age - and whether this ability is enhanced in younger folks.

I've always believed that younger folks remember the songs that were playing when they had their most formative experiences - an environmental kind of thing. But I wonder if there is anything biochemical going on too.

Would seem to be a peculiar research study - but no more peculiar than some others. smile
