Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments. I find it very interesting that you thought it was a parent or grandparent. This is actually about my ex-husband. But I can see how it would seem like a mother/daugher or father/daughter type relationship. We've been divorced for a long time now, but I was thinking about something the other night and this arrived in my brain. I really try to avoid personal songs but lately I've written two back to back almost. A wise (or unwise) friend of mine urged me to continue on with these. I just quickly wrote it down and "went" with it. I agree about it needing some layers. Thanks again for your comments and for listening.
