The goal of our "Song Challenges" is to write songs/lyrics on demand within set parameters. We don't critique each other's songs in this thread (but you can say you like someone's song if you want to.) Please post your original works. If you have already written a song/lyric that fits within the parameters, please feel free to post it.
Since we are in the middle of summer, let's do a summer song.
Rule 1: Write a lyric/song that revolves around summer as a specific time, from any viewpoint. Perhaps the viewpoint is a student looking forward to summer vacation, perhaps a summer love, anything that uses summer as a specific time.
Rule 2: You don't have to use the word summer but it should be clear that the season IS summer.
Rule 3: IT HAS TO BE NEW AND CREATED JUST FOR THIS CHALLENGE.
