I wrote this song a few years ago. I wanted to make the music simple so I decided to use as few chords as possible. Hope you like it. https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10987430It’s About Me Verse 1: I watch the sun go down And I watch it rise I’m watching my life pass Right before my eyes I feel myself slowly Slipping away But that ends right now It ends right here today Chorus: Starting right now It’s all about me So much I wanna do So much I wanna see I wanna do it all While I’m young and I’m free So starting right now It’s about me Verse 2: I’m gonna put down What I got to do And I’m gonna pick up Just what I want to There’s too many sweet dreams That I want to chase So I’m busting out Of this mad rat race Chorus Bridge: It’s my time to live It’s my time to shine Now it’s time for me To take what is mine Chorus Music: Robert Baitinger Lyrics: Ray Bertram Vocals: Kayla Williams Production: Robert Baitinger

YES! I agree. Back then that place in the internet was magical and we were all part of it. I met and collaborated with so many talented people there, like Kayla and Ray who helped me write and record this beautiful song.

A person can write a great lyric and melody, someone develop an intricate chord structure, find a fabulous singer and bring in great musicians and this song has all of those attributes in spades, but in the end it's the final production that counts...that's the creative part and IMO the most important...I am impressed with the intricate detail I find in this beautiful song...plenty of ear candy which shows the thought put into creating this gem...my hat is off to you sir....well done please everyone listen beyond the voice
Steve

I agree with Steve. One of your best productions with a lot of nice details. The percussion is an interesting choice. Works for me. Nice vocals too. IMO the production is better than the lyric or melody, which are a little bland for my taste. That's probably just me. And I agree a good song doesn't have to be complicated. Nice job!

Steve,
thank you. It sounds like you really were impressed. It don't know how to respond. Thanks. It probably isn't a huge chart hit but I actually like to listen to this one when I want to relax and chill. You need appropriate music for those moments too.
All the best
Robert

Hey Gavin,
thank you for the feedback. I really appreciate it. I agree with you that this surely is one of my best productions. If someone invests time to record vocals like these for free then you want to make sure that the music sounds good too. I spent a lot of time working on this one.
Take care
Robert

Hi Elvis,
getting this kind of feedback from someone like you makes me feel real good because when it comes to producing tracks you really know what your doing. Your production work is awesome.
All the best

I dabble in producing , but its more of a team effort and sometimes get out of the way with pros who know more then me.
What you got going is quiet catchy and grabs your attention right out of that gate Rob.

Rob,
Lovely production on this. The opening is so, so engaging . . . listening to it as I type and waiting to hear what comes next. Lovely vocal, love that percussion in the background. And, damn, that vocal is freakin' amazing. Brilliant song that is radio worthy . . . but we all know how that game goes. But it's better than most of anything I hear on the air these days. Really pretty brilliant.
Like this a ton!!
Regards,
Deej

Hey DeeJ,
thank you so much for the feedback. Yes, that young lady can sing. Today, that's what she does for a living. I'm still hoping some radio station will pick this one up someday.
All the best

Thank you Elvis. Currently Kayla is promoting her own songs. She's a singer songwriter and she's very good at it. She's got talent. But maybe someday she'll find this track lying around, collecting dust, and then release it. Who knows.
