I don't mix politics with music.. that would be dumb. But carry on.
Unlike you, the people at this site lack the common sense to see the obviousness in that. And sadly, this seems to be the only place that they feel that they can get up on their political soap box and get anyone to give a sh.t what they think.
And Ben, Trump is gonna send the robots out to get you when they make their move. They're going to stomp you into dog food. And let those nasty little dogs that old ladies buy, nibble away at what's left of you.
Trump could not run a post office , its quiet obvious .Yup Rusty Throaty the AI midget
We’re all built from the same dust and dreams, Different roads, but the same means.
I do not want to argue about politics or religion . These topics should be removed by Brian , like everyone agreed on
I completely agree with you.
But Brian isn't going to do it, so the best thing that you can do, in furtherance of your own desires...is not blurt out something about politics or political figures. Stick with the robots.

I've been thinking of this idiom a lot lately: "walk a mile in his shoes". Meaning: metaphorical expression that urges empathy and understanding toward others by imagining oneself in their situation. I'm so thankful I was born in the USA. If I were born in Somalia, Afghanistan, Seria, etc., I would probably have a completely different outlook on life. I may even be one of those ICE protesters. So, I'm going to be less judgmental. Well, except to politicians.

As you all know, cant possib;y not know, Im a huge Springsteen fan. Still am. He made a career out of examining America, did it extremely well, and was respected, cause he used to let the music stand for itself, and also his songs were written in a way, where if you didnt want to hear political leanings you didnt have to, there was room to have alternative views of his songs.
To me, his songs represented trancendence, heart, soul, power, and defiance, friendhip and ability to overcome odds, hope, behind one of the greatest rock bands in history.
He wrote many different styles, and could do folk music as he could stadium rock, great writer, one of greatest live performers you will ever see .4 hour shows, you got two shows for one basicly.
ANd top of it all, besides a macho and rough exterior, was a very good man, you can hear it in his music and from people who have met him. I have yet to see anybody online or otherwise say they have met him and he was dick to them.
Im sure some caught him on a bad day, but mostly positive vibes. You can find hundrds of pictures of him doing selfies with fans, he has fans across every walk of life, Doctors lawyers, garbage men, Pizza makers,
so, his last decade or or so have been hard for me. I HATE what has happened. I hate seeing people bashing him for his views, and people not even willing to just listen to the music without bringing his views into it.
From his Pov, hes doing his duty and what he believes is right.
This song. is kinda weak. The chorus is good in a Dylanesque kinda way, and if you agreed with his thoughts, youd say pretty cool.
But This Pretti, he wasnt some innocent guy holding a protest sign, he was fighting them, they were having trouble getting hold of him he was wrestlin, and previois videos show him kicking their headlights and spitting at them. I mean Jesus, they work for Trump, they aint Trump.
So this song makes me sad, mostly cause of the backlash hes gonna face, and for such onsidedness Love Bruce but songs like this are forever.

BULL$HIT! Just like Rob Halford, his true talent is his ambiguity...
Springsteen has always been a lying, duplicitous, America hating faggot!
Born down in a dead man's town The first kick I took was when I hit the ground End up like a dog that's been beat too much 'Til you spend half your life just to cover it up now Born in the USA I was born in the USA I was born in the USA Born in the USA, now Got in a little hometown jam So they put a rifle in my hands Send me off to a foreign land To go and kill the yellow man Born in the USA I was born in the USA Born in the USA I was born in the USA Come back home to the refinery Hiring man said, "Son, if it was up to me" Went down to see my V.A. man He said, "Son, don't you understand, now?" Oh, yeah No, no No, no, no I had a brother at Khe Sanh Fightin' off them Viet Cong They're still there, he's all gone He had a woman he loved in Saigon I got a picture of him in her arms now Down in the shadow of the penitentiary Out by the gas fires of the refinery I'm ten years burnin' down the road Nowhere to run, ain't got nowhere to go Born in the USA I was born in the USA, oh Born in the USA I'm a long-gone daddy in the USA, now Born in the USA Born in the USA Born in the USA I'm a cool rocking daddy in the USA, now
To me, his songs represented trancendence, heart, soul, power, and defiance, friendhip and ability to overcome odds, hope, behind one of the greatest rock bands in history.

And our President was a draft dodger...Mr military
Born in the USA is spot on, its not anti American to stick up for the vets who got screwed by the governmrnt. Promises of housing and education snd great jobs..
They got [naughty word removed] when they came back
THAT'S what that song is about. And still true BTW vets still get [naughty word removed] I just talked to one too weeks ago, he said ups won't deliver packages on the Va community he lives. A guy who risked his life for this country, paralyzed, cant get a fuckin package delivered to him.
And not only did the government screw the vet, the people spit on them.
Its not anti American to speak up, silence is un-American.
That said this song and born in the USA are light years away
Dom, Let me assure you, your devotion to Springsteen does not impress the US Armed Services... And I seriously doubt YOU have ever been spit on.
Oceanside, Ca '76 Boston, Mass '85 Philadelphia, Pa '91
Fuuk every damned one of you stupid communist idiots!
Tony dont get fuckin stupid with me.
No, I haven't been spit on. What the [naughty word removed] does that have to do with it?
I don't care to be spit on, and if yiu did it you me, I'd take you down, story over.
Being spit on by your fellow countrymen, if yiu happen to be lucky enough to make it back, and if not seriously maimed or mentally damaged, is a disgrace and experience I couldn't phatom .
No different than being a holocaust survivor.
I don't have a fixed ideology and I don't have flawless heros. If he's right like born in true Isa, ill say it, if he's wrong like this song, I also will say it.
You however will never say a word about Trump, draft dodger not a concern of tiurs, if he's on epsteins list not a concern of yours either.
The guys been democrat twice, independent, now an iron clas tepublican...so even though I like some things he does, I don't know if I trust him with the keys.
As far as views of military....
You act as though people sent to war all love it, have no qualms or reservation about it. Vast majority are scared shitlesss, and say the fuckin president is doing well ain't he.
This guy in the video was just like yiu before he went, the government let him down and abandoned him. Like most vets
I don't care what side your on, that's fuckin wrong Take care of the vets
If you can't discuss without bring a dick, go [naughty word removed] yourself
Verse 1 Saw a pickup preachin’ louder than the AM dial Bumper stickers stacked like a trial by fire Talk radio prophets, flags in the bed Sayin’ God wears red, white, blue… and spray-tan instead Mama says hush, don’t start nothin’ tonight But the jukebox is loud and the beer’s feelin’ brave Every sermon needs a savior Every bar needs a fight
Pre-Chorus They don’t need proof, don’t need facts Just a microphone and a devil to smack
Chorus They found Orange Jesus in a golf-course suit Turned a businessman into absolute truth Walks on tweets, turns rage into wine Says “Trust me, brother, I been right every time” Yeah, the blind lead the loud, the loud lead the lost They’ll nail you to a cross just to prove a point Say grace with a fist and a middle-finger thesis All hail, amen — Orange Jesus
Verse 2 Got a bible on the dash, never cracked the spine Got a cross on the mirror, judgment in their eyes They pray for mercy but vote for war Say love thy neighbor, then lock the door Sermons dressed up as cable news Faith measured out in winning and losing If you doubt the word, you’re the enemy If you question the king, you’re blasphemy
Pre-Chorus It ain’t about God, it ain’t about right It’s about feelin’ chosen in a barroom fight
Chorus They found Orange Jesus in a gold-leaf lie Said the rich get richer ’cause the poor don’t try Breaks commandments, sells it as strength Says humility’s weak, but vengeance ain’t Yeah, the loud clap louder, the truth gets bruised They’ll burn the book just to win the feud Wrap hate in a flag, call it freedom of speech, yeah All hail, amen — Orange Jesus
Bridge I ain’t holy, I ain’t clean I don’t need a king to tell me what I mean If God’s real, He’s shakin’ His head Watchin’ men use His name to place their bets
Half-Chorus (drop it down) Yeah, I’ll take my chances with the flawed and the free Over saints with a sponsor and a messiah on TV
Final Chorus They found Orange Jesus, bigger than God Forgives every sin soon as you nod Truth’s just a rumor, power’s the prize And faith’s just a tool when it’s televised Yeah, love gets lost when fear’s the thesis But don’t blame heaven — blame the preachers I’ll keep my soul, you keep your pieces You can have your king — Orange Jesus
Outro (spoken / sung) Buy one get one free salvation tonight. No refunds. No returns. God bless… probably.

Love it...can I add some revisions you can work through SUNO....well assuming you think it's worth the change
They don’t need proof, don’t need facts Just a microphone and some lies to pass
yeah bullies lead the loud
Got a bible on the dash, with an uncracked spine A cross on the mirror, judgment in their eyes
Praying love and peace they vote for war Their Golden Rule is lock the door
Sermons dressed in cable news Faith believes that others lose
...Question the king that's blasphemy
then Ben that prechorus
It ain’t about God, it ain’t about right It’s about feelin’ chosen in a barroom fight
is just about the best couplet I have read in a long time and just so you know I am stealing it aside.....I brought a UN initiative.... World Interfaith Harmony Week....to Toronto in 2013 and still co chair the steering committee here. As such I get asked to say a few words at WIHW events. That couplet will make its way into those words in some way
The bridge is so core.....mankind invokes God to justify their misdeeds ....
then another brilliant pre chorus...........
more suggestions...
They found Orange Jesus, bigger than God Pardons your sins as long as you nod Truth’s just a rumor, power’s the prize Speed of light lies on the tube every night Truth is submerged by fear in the thesis I don’t blame heaven — I blame the preachers Rest easy my soul, and you keep the pieces That fall by the wayside as His Majestee pleases
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

I like to think that Jesus offers forgiveness to any man that Muhammad recruits to kill for Allah. What kind of God needs His own children to wage war in defense of heaven anyway? All those bearded virgins must be driving Allah insane...

Tony, say what you will, Springsteen stayed true to himself in all these years.
This is not his greatest work but it is a raw emotional reaction to events in Minneapolis done like only Bruce could do
Exactly! Just like Rob Halford, his true talent is his ambiguity...

Wrong again DomDom... I'm a purist. Tyranny in the name of God and Jesus Christ can only be a good thing. Bow and pledge allegiance to the king and crown in the name of all that is holy! Or, submit to the lawful commonwealth as a slave under penalty of death.

You make up your own rules, are so arrogant to think you understand the mind of God.
And, on top of it you constantly use the word faggot, and have an obsession with male homosexuals.

I have relatives who are gay, nothing you can do about it, you csn pray to the cows come home.
but I think you might lean that way yourself.
Stop making up your own Religion, that's blasphemy

Never cared for Springsteen. What annoys me most is these celebrities that made their fortunes and success in the USA (under capitalism), now bash the USA. What’s a stronger word than “hypocrite”? Whatever it is, that’s what they are.
