Just want to let all of you know that Helen is at the ER in the nearby hospital. She's not doing real good. The doctors won't know anything specific for several hours, possible tomorrow. But, the thought right now is that she has had a stroke.
She has no strength, cannot stand up at all, she's halucinating pretty badly and her arnms are flailing uncontrollably at times. She has no strength on the left side of her body and her speech is slurred and halting.
I will let you know more when I know more. Obviously, all collabs I'm working on are on hold indefinetley.
So, I probably won;t be very active here at JPF for a while. I'll talk to you later when there's more to say. Everything is speculation right now.

Although I am a relative newcomer here to JPF, it didn't take me long to realize that you truly are one of the best here. Your kind and uplifting words always give us struggling artists inspiration. Aw geez, Alan, I'm so sorry to hear this. I think about you and Helen a lot, especially with all you've been through the past couple years. You're always in my prayers, but even more so now with this setback.

Nothing new, yet. Helen has been in ER almost 8 hours. Thanks a bunch to all of you for your concern and supporting words. They do make difference!
For those of you who have wondewred what you might be able to do to help....if you are one who prays, all prayers are welcome. If you're not the praying type, some positive thoughts and good wishes are equally welcome. Thanks to all. Will post more when I know more.

While you're at it take a big hug for yourself.
As you know my younger brother is fighting the good fight with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He has been on Chemo since January. I went up to Michigan to see him this week. I just got home and saw this.
He goes in the 21st for the last chemo treatment and it will be a biggy. Isolation for 3 weeks, Stem cell transplant, and maybe a bone marrow transplant.
This Chemo is last resort I think. He hasn't been responding to the other chemo so far.
This is the same Brother that beat Malignant Melanoma in 2005 while I was beating Prostate Cancer. We are a tough bunch here at JPF.
Tell Helen we are right in there fighting with her.
