and she isn't wrong. Of course we're supposed to consider these male artists as strong men but in their songs they don't talk about women. It's girl this and girl that. Also she points out that men get away with more which is likely true. Consider the blowback LBT has received for Girl Crush and Kacey Musgraves got for Follow Your Arrow and Dixie Chicks got for the GWB situation. I'm sure I could find more examples.

You can record a song about a honkytonk badonkadonk and it be played everywhere even though it's incredibly sexist but the words girl crush entails the gay agenda and gets blackballed.


You can find problems in every genre though but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be addressed. Nor should the songs be boycotted. Hopefully the next trend or wave is women and girl power. Have had enough of these macho men who have nothing important to say
