"I know why you still cry" is perfect. It's a chorus speaking to the elephant, telling him we understand his sorrow.

I wonder if, for the last taggy chorus it could be a total reversal:

(do) you know why we still cry, Rahu
there are others like you

Since the chorus is still engaging Rahu in conversation, in the taggy chorus, it's more direct to ask Rahu "(do)you know why" than to simply inform him "I know why" --and hope he's paying attention. "You know why" --close to your original line, there, sort of addresses him personally. My thoughts, anyway. smile
