well, Since Michael Posted his info about the Epicure Speakers I have been looking for similar Speakers that were manufactured and sold around the same time. There were AR, Acoustic Research, the first sealed box speakers that allowed somewhat better bass response. I had a pair of AR4X speakers. Also there were KLH Speakers, Wharfdale, Advent, and maybe a few others. If you are looking for a good set of speakers anyone of them will do and you may be able to find them at budget prices in Pawnshops or on E-Bay. At the time all of those speakers were made 100 watt amps were either non existent or rare or expensive. You can drive anyone of them with a 100 watt receiver/amp for a basically good sound. You can also get repair parts for any of them at SIMPLY SPEAKERS or perhaps other places. Good hunting!
