I had a couple of floor model EPI's I bought in the mid 70's. They were awesome. But way too big. I downsized my system in the mid 90's. I went with Sony CD player, mixer and power amp. Kept my old turntable.
While waiting for new replacement speakers, I hooked up the old EPI's to the new Sony sys. Because the new system was under powered, the speakers started smoking and caught fire. Excitement.
