I'd hardly say that the even a large percent of the influences listed here are country artists/writers. Most of the listed writers are mainstream rock and folk/singer songwriter.
Bowie is cool. I like him more for his attitude and intelligence than his music, which is hit and miss a lot of the time. But I love seeing him interviewed or simply discussing any number of topics. Very smart and down to earth guy.
