Hi everybody-
I stumbled on MySpace because a guy at a local music venue told me about it.

Yes there are a few things to be aware of, but I have had no trouble since I joined.

In the begining, I was contacted by a few stunning women from states or countries so far away, it seemed odd their main interest was to get into a serious relationship, or marriage, right away.
All of these types, had a pro picture, with pretty much the same white background. Their messages were full of bad Enlish and grammar, and always wanted me to give them a yahoo id, or yahoo e-mail address, to chat live.
Either very little, or no personal information was given.
A friend told me they are bad people, and to stay away from them, and that hackers can get into your computer, using that yahoo messenger chat system.

I did find some excellent songwriters- and other nice people- some from JPF's.
It is an excellent way to network, and get your music out there.

Regarding the adding friends:
You do not have to approve anyone who looks
suspicious.
All in all, I feel it is just as safe as most web-sites.
Although, there are fakers, and impersonators out there, using myspace for devious reasons, MySpace seems to be the hottest site out there.
