I absolutely love the TAG, {{{Stan}}}... wow, so very profound.

You know I love you, Stan, always have. I love your sense of humor, your wit, your cleverness, and all those great tongue-in-cheek lyrics you've written. BUT, I absolutely love it when you show your serious side. And you do it so well. It definitely keeps us all on our toes.

As you may or may not know, my sister is gay. She came out about 6 years ago to my parents. I've known it for decades, though it was always unspoken.

For a minute, my parents FLIPPED out. The good, God-fearing Catholics they are. But when it all simmered to a boil, I merely said to my father, "Do you love Shelly?" Of course he said yes. And I replied, "Then you love her NO MATTER WHAT. A parent can't possibly shut that off. Now, stop with the Archie Bunker mentality and GET OVER IT!"

As simple as that sounds, that's really truly all it took. They have accepted her ever since, and her galfriend, Jaci. My folks treat Jaci just like they treat my husband and my brother's wife, like family.

I'm sorry for the sadness this gentleman had to endure. The ones who really missed out were his folks.

I love this, Stan. And you for writing it.
