Thanks for looking in. Real nice story! Does your daughter still perform at all?
I, too, am a very eclectic writer, although it is not specifically intentional. I write whatever comes to me. I've written Bluegrass, Country Stnadards, Contemporary Country, Blues, Adult Contemporary, Southern rock, Swing, Smooth Jazz and Jazz Fusion. As you said, when you write in so many different genres's, it is hard to establish yourself in just one. I guess that's a burden I will have to endure for a while! I am working on 3 or4 right now...three different genres!
Seems like a lot of songwriters, lyricists in particular, were fiurst drawn to writing by Bob Dylan. That has been mentioned several times. I wonder how many people he has influenced top start writing? Quite a few, I would guess.
Hope all is well with your wife and that the illness you referred to is not apermanent issue. Take care. have a really good 2007!
