I was reading something today about animal behavior and what purring means. Very interesting physical explanation.

Fortunately, my cat Julia is not very heavy because she likes to sleep on top of me. If I am lying on my back, she will sleep on my stomach or chest and if I dare lie on my side, she will drape herself across my hip! LOL Lately I've been gone a lot more than normal so I think she just needs the reassurance of touch when I am home. Her brother, Ernie (yeah Ernest and Julia Gallup..LOL) loved to wind himself around my head right on my pillow like earmuffs! Ernie passed on to kitty heaven four years ago and I still miss him.

For folks who love animals, they do become members of our family. We just love them no matter how weird they are. LOL Just like husbands! LOL Everyone likes their share of attention..grin
