Hey Scott,
just took a look in a dictionary. Schadenfreude is one of those rare German words that found its way in your language...like Kindergarten, Waldsterben, Gestalt etc. Funny that someone imagines Heidi Klum as Schadenfreude...She's more Kindergarten... :-)

Bernd Thanks Bernd, for this and the earlier comment. One of the things I find most interesting is that we didn't have a word for the concept in English. Just as well though - the German word actually has the right sound to go with the concept.  Ah, maybe you're right about Heidi. It's just that she sometimes looks so happy when one of the designers on her show is getting slammed.  Glad you liked it! Scott
