Fdem, In my opinion these lines are not enough to call this a song. You are off to a good start but I can’t recognize the song structure. What do you think about this? Feel free to use anything I suggested here.
There Once Was a Hack
[Instrumental Intro]
[Verse] There once was a hack, a tired old sack on the crack Cravin’ applause from the aimless pack He strutted and squawked like he led the track But his words were dust and his rhythm was slack
[Pre-chorus] He’d mumble his lines and call it art Pretendin’ to bleed from a hollow heart But when the crowd went cold and turned their back He just doubled down on his same old act
[Chorus] He wants it this way—no, that way—no, this way and back All must obey, 'cause he’s king of the whacks No truth in his tune, just noise and attack Bow down, boys and girls, to the mighty ol’ hack
[Break]
[Verse] There once was a hack, glasses dark black No musical bone in his scrawny back He talked about soul, but his soul was cracked Chasin’ reflections of things he lacked
[Pre-chorus] He’d steal a line, reshape a rhyme Claimed he was born before his time But deep down, everyone knew the fact He’s a bore in disguise, a hollow act
[Chorus] He wants it this way—no, that way—no, this way and back All must obey, 'cause he’s king of the whacks No truth in his tune, just noise and attack Bow down, boys and girls, to the mighty ol’ hack
[Bridge] He built himself high just to fall through the cracks A legend in mirrors, but lost in the tracks All flash, no flame, just echoes and lacks The tale of the tired, the tragic ol’ hack
[Interlude]
[Final chorus] He wants it this way—no, that way—no, this way and back All must obey, 'cause he’s king of the whacks But the crown’s fallen off and the truth’s on the track There once was a hack... and he ain’t comin’ back
[Outro] Yeah, there once was a hack Just a tired old sack… Now he’s gone with the static Fade to black
