I like your idea of putting AIs down in their own section. I guess that we are the only ones who favor that.
I've put up two songs in the last couple of days. One took months...guitars and vox were live people. Spent hours syncing drum hits and assembling drum fills. overlaying strings, piano. I was happy with the result. I thought that Jaime's solo was truly great.

Rob, using AI, turned some of my lyrics into a song by modeling a beautiful female vocal, coupled it with a very complimentary musical background and the song sounds great to me. Audio-heroin.

He shared that it took (8) one to two word prompts and three minutes. Robert is an intelligent man who chose well targeted prompts and he has musical sensibilitles. But turning my lyrics into a radio-ready song or at least a substantial demo, with appx 12-15 guiding words and three minutes is not song writing. It is lyric writing (maybe) and then prompting a machine to create a work of music (song). There is clearly no question that this beautiful rendition of my lyrics exists only because a machine was available to create it.

That is no slam on Rob. He created 3 versions of the song, male, female, duet. I plan to try to work up the male version for live performances, but I will always know that the existence and power of a machine made all three happen.

Considering that my (Rob's) new beautiful female rendition took only 3 minutes, the ease of doing that and the true authorship by a machine.... should be sequestered to it's own section on these song sites.

Actual performances should be elsewhere.
