YOU were giving DEADLY advice (in your mentally invented qualifications to talk about a serious illness you didn't bother to simply GOOGLE and read a couple paragraphs about). It makes you an unreliable source on ANY topic because this is proof that you can't be bothered to make minimal effort to find the truth about anything. That discredits your rants on every topic, including those you may be right about. But who could trust you?

Rather than simply saying "sorry John, I didn't realize there were 2 distinct types of diabetes, and I am sorry to hear your wife has Type 1 which I was clearly ignorant about, really sorry" you just started ranting and added another post for more rants when it was ONLY YOU who were wrong and who caused all the nonsense. Rather than offer a similar mea culpa to me, now you are whining about people calling you out. YOU BROUGHT IT UP! You could have been a human and simply said "sorry to hear your wife is ill John" or if you thought maybe you had magical info she, her husband and doctors had never bothered to learn about all this time, you could have asked rational follow up questions.

I realize trying to have a rational, reasonable discussion with you is often pointless, but here is another chance for you to stop tripling down on your mistake, apologize for being misinformed, then get on track with whatever topic you intended.

Give it a try.
