I still love this tune Ricki,
I want a light at the end of a very long tunnel and feel that this verse gives that.
To me, " latest desertion" implies you're going to stick around in this awful relationship. The "day was done" verse, to me, leans more toward really leaving. Regardless, nice job. Peace, Ian
