For those looking to AdSense et al for making a few bucks, I recommend you read this: http://chrisguillebeau.com/3x5/overnight-success/I have to agree with the author that AdSense tends to put people off and promote the wrong things on your website. AdSense put lots of ads on my blog that promoted stuff I wouldn't want to be associated with. Plus, once people click on an ad they're off your site and on to the next - I'd rather nudge them towards my own store instead!
