She'd be looking at two years of trying to govern the state of Alaska with the national, state, and local political machines doing everything they can do to bring her down, plus media from all over the world trying to damage her by attacking her and her family personally.
And this wouldn't happen (magnified by 10) if she was President? I think she shot herself in the foot with this, unless she has a really good reason. It will certainly be a huge issue if she runs for President. Quit your governor term with two years left and then run for President? Sheesh, even the least cynical folks would wonder about that.....
