Well her problems can only be described as self inflicted. To use a metaphor..... She gave the press plenty of ammunition and it is no surprise that they used it. So in reality, ironically she shot herself in the foot. Thankfully her hypocritical, extremist views and failings were found out before it was too late.
She is not short of cash now but will probably make even more through talk shows and public appearances. That type sadly usually does.
