Dom, you can definitely write something you have no experience with... LOL I do that a lot
But then I do a lot of research into the topic...nail down vernaculars to make things sound more real etc.
What you show in you writing is that you do not have the nuanced understanding of your relationship.
THAT comes with experience....but keep trying....the hook is worth it
Maybe think sitcom plots to get ideas
Maybe a visual here...you took a sledgehammer and prybar to the marble instead of a chisel and mallet. I'd agree with that, if it was a warm and fuzzy song about playfully being afraid of your wife. I totally get it, I grew up with married parents, my brother is married, I myself lived for years at a time with partner. But this is NOT that song, its different. You have your own idea what the song should be. Nuanced understanding of married life does not apply here. All my songs involve deep understanding of the character in the song.

"We are all millionaires, billionaires even, because right now we have today. And today is worth more than all the wealth we can imagine. So spend today wisely. Spend tomorrow wisely. Enjoy the wealth of today, and realize it is worth far more than all the money and possessions of tomorrow and beyond." -Brian Austin Whitney
