I'm not much of a music reader and time signatures can get a bit technical for me. Frankly anything other than 4/4 or 2/4 and I am a bit lost. The reason for this comment is that I mess around with MIDI FILES (a bit of a hobby)and one time I imput the wrong time sig by accident. This happy little accident changed the whole feel of the song. I have discovered some real funky stuff playing a standard midi file with different time sigs. Once I was messing around with the Stevie Wonder song Superstition and I changed the System exclusive, tempo and time sig by accident. The result a slow hypnotic funk and completely different song arrangement that we love playing with the band. If you are into Midi try different tempos and time sigs. It can really change the feel of the piece. Interested to hear if anybody else plays a standard song with different tempos or time sig.
