I have beyerdynamic DT770s which I really like. But they have more than doubled in price since I bought them, to around $250.
The Sonys Larry mentioned above are an industry standard and what I would probably choose if I had to buy today. I would stick with closed back phones. But I am concerned with mic bleed.
