Hi Billy, I absolutely respect your opinion, but I believe I've tried just about everything to promote my music over the past 15 years. I've sold maybe 6,000 albums, which isn't amazing, but better than most of my friends. My Passive Promotion blog is relatively young, but you can see that I've tried plenty of other things just in the past few months. I'll withhold final judgment until I've had a few more months of testing, but so far Jango seems to be quite effective. That said, I certainly don't credit it for any of my admittedly modest successes to date. If you've got any suggestions, I'm happy to try them! If they work, I'll write about them. What do you think would increase my fan base more efficiently? Personally, I see no problem with paying to play. It's perfectly legitimate and relatively inexpensive promotion.
