She could say something like, "If I run for President, I think it's more honorable to recognize it's a full time job and not kid myself or anyone else that I can do well at the one I'm already in".

She'd have a good point.

It might work. I dunno though. I'm thinking most folks don't like a quitter and they particularly don't like a quitter who quits because their eyes are on a bigger prize. I don't know that that's the case here (she really hasn't given a good explanation yet) but I'm pretty sure her opponent would spin it that way.

In any case, for better or worse, I don't think we've seen the last of her. grin
