This song is so romantic! Halie's vocals are really velvety smoothe, LOVED 'em! She pulls off the whole feel of the song. Sounded so "dreamy" on it. That's the important part...the song sounds like a lover just missing someone, not bitter or angsty about it, just perhaps rueful, and that makes it enjoyable and easy listening.  The dog plowed through the litter box line might be out of place. Maybe... "The dog nuzzles at my pensive face" or something like that?
