I am someone who takes pride in being able and enjoying a myriad of ways to compose. From "the void," from a musical cell, from a lyric idea, from having a "message," from seeing the "song-in-its-entirety-all-at-once," and I can say that this, for me, is a fun way to create. And yes, "create" may be the wrong word here, since the AI is generating ideas, some of which I don't specifically ask for. But I usually enter the creative experience "on-the-lookout" for left field ideas that I wouldn't normally think of, so I have an openness to that that perhaps others don't?

Anyway, I don't think this will be a threat to "real composers" anymore than a drum machine was to drummers.

Let's just imagine that AI CAN, eventually, AID in the creation of really good stuff...who wouldn't want that? Really good stuff that might NEVER have existed, without AI help...
